Vacancy – Parish Clerk

HAUGHTON PARISH COUNCIL
PART TIME CLERK OF THE COUNCIL

Applications are invited for the above post. Ideally applicants will have a background in local government. Hours are currently seven per week paid according to SLCC/NALC guidelines depending on experience. The hours are subject to review as the council takes on further responsibilities.

The successful applicant would be expected to work from home and will be responsible for the day to day administration of the Parish Council, dealing with correspondence, preparing agendas and minutes and attending council meetings which are usually held on the 4th Monday each month during the evenings.

The Clerk is also the Responsible Financial Officer of the Council and would be expected to prepare the financial records for audit. The Council will offer training to the successful candidate.
